Ubisoft has released a range of detailed hardware requirements for Far Cry 5, detailing resolution and framerate targets for the hardware in question, giving gamers a lot more data than they are typically used to. Thankfully, we won't have to wait too long to find out if it's any good.Far Cry 5 offers a massive leap in graphical fidelity over its predecessor, abandoning the hardware limitations of last-generation consoles to take advantage of the hardware contained on today's consoles and PCs.

It's an odd turn for the series but one Ubisoft is confident of. You'll hunt for food, craft weapons and items, and fight against other tribes. It's set in the inhospitable land of Oros and you'll don the role of Takkar, a hunter. Ubisoft announced that the next entry in the series will have you in the Stone Age - 10,000 BC to be exact. From hunting down warlords in a realistic take on Africa to the absolutely bonkers, 80s sci-fi themed Far Cry Blood Dragon, there's been no setting left untouched. Since then, we've seen the series take on a host of different scenarios. The first Far Cry game was a story-driven affair that had you rescuing a journalist from an island replete with mercenaries and mutants. In terms of specifications though, it's a whole lot more lenient on PCs compared to another anticipated release, Rise of the Tomb Raider. Till then, publisher Ubisoft has divulged what you need to run the game on PC. PC gamers have to wait till March 1 to get their hands on it.
